Valentine's Day
(Catching up...)
First thing in the morning, when Maelyn discovered her Valentine's Day treats...
and fell in love with her new Toy Story watch.
Yummy treats!!
That night we made a heart-shaped pizza for dinner...
Happy Valentine's Day to the two loves of my life! :)

Maple Syrup Festival
We spent a fabulous day outdoors together today -- and I loved every minute of it!
We went to Bruce's Mill to enjoy the beginning of the maple syrup festival. It had been years since I had gone to a festival and I was really looking forward to Maelyn's first experience with the sugary, yummy treat!
What better way to start the day than with a clown
and a balloon crafted into a pink flower?
Maelyn's first pony ride! Every other time we tried to put her
on a pony, she was terrified. This time, she walked right up to AppleJacks,
said hello to him and couldn't wait to go for a ride!
Feeding the sheep...
We purchased some yummy treats in the sugar shack...
A cold, bumpy wagon ride -- but so much fun and so many giggles!
Daddy showing Maelyn the sap and where it comes from...
She loved the pony ride so much that we had to get in another
ride before heading home...
After our visit to Bruce's Mill we went to Nicole and Mike's house for dinner. We had a blast watching the girls giggle and copy each other's every move. We haven't had a neighbour dinner in quite some time, so it was wonderful to be able to spend some time together -- especially now that the girls get along so well!
A day like today brings me pure happiness and gratitude for my family. I love Paul and Maelyn with all of my heart and appreciate the memories we are able to build as a family of three.

February Random Cuteness
Maelyn loves helping me with the chores. I wonder how long
that will last?! :)
Maelyn was asking me to help her vacuum -- using exactly the same
words I would use when she helps me to vacuum, holding onto the hose.
"Hold here, Mommy. That it! Good job, Mommy!"
This kid loves heights and ladders -- and ended up using one as a chair!
Pretend play is alive and well at this house -- one night we even got
a new dog! Maelyn enjoyed pretending to be a puppy so much that she
even ate her dinner on the floor, using only her mouth. Hehe!
Putting her princesses in time out -- she even came to me crying (with tears
and all) and told me that Princess Belle had hit her!
I love my little princess!!
