Christmas Joy
The arrival of December 1st meant that Maelyn could open the first door of her advent calendar. Although I have a few interesting ideas for advent calendars as she gets older, this year I kept it simple. I got her a Toy Story chocolate calendar and was excited to introduce another tradition to Maelyn.

Maelyn, my sweet thing, I hate to laugh but oh you are too funny. (And you just made my (and Lianne's) mother howl with laughter.
this is a tough lesson to learn at a young age --- having to limit chocolate. playing the game is hard sometimes.
does she have the bonus calendar that takes you past Christmas --- that's something to look forward to -- Julia has figured that one out. 6 in one day is what she's counting on after Christmas.
