LID!!!!

On a positive note, we received word from our agency that our file was received in China and we were given an official log in date of September 20th, 2011.

We are very excited as this means the next step in the process is referral!! While we are now open to a referral, we know that we will be waiting a few months longer than other families. Ontario requires that Maelyn and our next child be eighteen months apart. The program is now referring children at around three years old -- Paul and I are looking for a referral of a child around eighteen months old.

We are totally fine with the extra wait. Things around here have been so crazy that we could use a little down time. If we don't receive our referral until January or February, it means that we will be back on our feet and able to give such a special occasion the attention that it deserves. It may be our last referral for a child in our family and we want to savour every moment.
