I wanted to start with the playroom, but Maelyn got quite upset when I started re-organizing her toys. She kept questioning me about what I was doing with her things!
So although I hadn't planned on it, I decided to tackle Maelyn's room. It was time to convert it into a big girl's room -- especially since she is always talking about the fact that she is no longer little, but really, really big.
I told Maelyn what we would be doing, but she started to cry when she saw her bed being taken apart. Poor thing -- I felt so bad for her! If I am being honest, I felt bad for me, too! I got a little choked up when I saw her bed being dismantled. I wasn't sure that I was ready for this step -- my little miss is growing up!
The minute we put her new bed in place, she couldn't stop grinning. She jumped all over it and kept saying that she was a big girl now.
Paul was really worried that she wouldn' stay in bed or that she wouldn't sleep well. His fears were unfounded -- she slept right through the night and didn't seem to mind the new set-up at all.
I am waiting for the bed rails that I ordered to come in and today we went and bought new sheets and a quilt for the bed. I will post pictures once her big girl room is complete!
