The changes that we have seen in our little girl in such a short amount of time is something that I find fascinating and absolutely wonderful. The progress she has made both physically and behaviourally have far exceeded any preconceived expectations I had - and more! Paul and I feel like we have had the privilege of watching our little girl learn many new things, sometimes changing hourly -- and it has been amazing to be there for many of her 'firsts.'
The following are a few snippets of events from the past month...
Enjoying her new playroom...
Loving her new Backyardigans stuffed toy from Gamma...
Paul and I are also extremely fortunate to live in a neighbourhood with some of the best neighbours anyone could ask for! We love getting together with our neighbours and we are thrilled that we have all been entering into a new phase in our lives at around the same time - parenthood!
Genesis and Maelyn -- enjoying each other's company...
Run up the hill, down the hill, up the hill....
We went to a local children's shoe store to get Maelyn properly fitted for shoes, hoping that a good pair of shoes would help her with her gross motor development. The shoe store that we visited is one that I went to when I was a child -- and it has hardly changed at all in thirty years!
Maelyn thought that we were at a doctor's office...
After awhile she relaxed and enjoyed her new shoes...
My Mom has been able to spend a lot of time with us over the past few weeks and it has been really nice to be able to see the relationship between Grandma and Granddaughter develop.
Obsessed with stickers...
Even Rocky got decorated!
